    Full Body Skin Checks

A full skin check is a head-to-toe exam using a dermatoscope to assess every mole and spot on your body. It’s ideal for those with lots of moles, a history of sun damage, or previous skin cancers. Early detection is key — even spots you can’t see can turn into something serious. This is the most thorough way to check your skin.

    Single Lesion Checks

This is a focused check of 1–3 spots you’re concerned about — like a changing mole or non-healing sore. It’s quick, targeted, and ideal if you’re low risk but want something looked at properly. Same expert care, just with a narrower focus.

    Investigations

If a lesion appears suspicious, fast and accurate diagnostic biopsies are sent to the lab for histological analysis. These are performed under local anaesthetic using the appropriate technique, and you’ll receive a clear follow-up plan based on the results.

    Surgical Solutions

For high-risk or confirmed skin cancers, Dr Paul has performed thousands of excisions focused on complete removal and excellent cosmetic results. All procedures are done under local anaesthetic, often with layered closures to support healing.

For complex areas like the face, ears, or scalp, he can offer advanced techniques such as local flaps and full-thickness grafts. Staged margin control (CCPDMA) is used where appropriate to further optimise outcomes.

    Non Surgical Solutions

Some patients are better suited to non-surgical options. Dr Paul provides field treatment using a combination of Efudix and Calcipotriol, a highly effective approach for sun-damaged skin and actinic keratoses. This treatment is typically offered in the cooler months and includes full instruction and follow-up support when needed.

    Referral

While Dr Paul can manage most skin cancers and treatments directly, there are times when it’s in your best interest to be referred to a specialist team.

If that’s the case, he will explain everything clearly and make sure you’re referred to the right person — whether it’s a dermatologist, plastic surgeon, or hospital-based team. Your care will remain coordinated, and he will ensure you’re supported every step of the way.
