Understanding Skin Cancer is a free online education course from the Skin Cancer College Australasia designed to help people recognise risk, understand warning signs, and know when to seek medical advice.

The course is provided by SCAN Your Skin, a public-facing education initiative focused on improving skin cancer awareness and early detection.

Who is the course for?

This course is suitable for:

  • Members of the general public - especially for professionals who regularly see their clients’ skin, such as hairdressers, tattoo artists and massage therapists.

  • Patients with a history of sun exposure or sunburn

  • People with many moles or changing skin lesions

  • Those with a personal or family history of skin cancer

  • Anyone who wants to better understand skin cancer risk and prevention

No medical background is required.
